OK... Seriously I have found an interesting article from Stephan Spencer on Badges, Gadgets, and Widgets (Oh My!). This article summarizes his experience in the Web 2.0 Expo session on “An Overview of Badges and Widgets: The Fast Rise of Viral Web Parts”. Highly recommend reading if you are considering putting badges, widgets, gadgets, blidgets or any other 'gets' on your site.
